Baltimore VIP Airliner Charter

VIP airliners are among the aircraft Baltimore Jet Charter arranges for trips to and from Baltimore. The types we arrange seat 8 to 172 passengers, with published ranges from 1,645 to 7,800 nautical miles. Which one suits your trip depends on the passenger count, the baggage, the distance and the airports at both ends.

Typical Aircraft

The types we arrange in this category are Airbus A320 (VIP), Airbus A340-300, Airbus A340-600, Airbus ACJ318, Airbus ACJ318 Elite, Airbus ACJ319, Airbus ACJ320, Airbus ACJ321, Boeing 727-251 VIP, Boeing 737-200 (VIP), Boeing 757 VIP, Boeing 787-9 (VIP), Boeing Business Jet (BBJ), Bombardier CRJ-200, Bombardier CRJ-200 VIP, Challenger 850 and McDonnell Douglas MD-83.

When a VIP Airliner Fits a Baltimore Trip

VIP airliners take the Baltimore groups that outgrow a heavy jet, such as sports teams, convention delegations and destination weddings, and most of the types we arrange reach Texas, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and the Caribbean from Baltimore. Your advisor will confirm which types have the range for your route and the airport at each end.

Cabin size, baggage space and range vary across these 17 types, so send us the details and we will narrow the list down for you.

The runway a particular aircraft needs is calculated by the operator for that day’s conditions, and your advisor confirms it with the operator before anything is booked.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Baltimore-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

BWI Marshall is about nine miles south of downtown Baltimore, owned by the State of Maryland and operated by the Maryland Aviation Administration, and Martin State Airport in Middle River, about ten miles east of downtown, suits Towson and Hunt Valley. There is no jet airport in Annapolis, so jet trips for Annapolis and the Naval Academy usually use BWI, about 17 miles away. Easton Airport serves St. Michaels and Oxford while Salisbury serves Ocean City. Baltimore winters can bring snow and the occasional nor’easter, summer brings afternoon thunderstorms, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th. Late May, with the Preakness and the Naval Academy’s Commissioning Week, the holidays and summer weekends on the Eastern Shore book up first, so tell us your dates early.
