Baltimore Light Jet Charter

Light jets are among the aircraft Baltimore Jet Charter arranges for trips to and from Baltimore. The types we arrange seat 5 to 9 passengers, with published ranges from 1,400 to 2,165 nautical miles. Which one suits your trip depends on the passenger count, the baggage, the distance and the airports at both ends.

Typical Aircraft

The types we arrange in this category are Beechjet 400, Cessna Citation Bravo, Cessna Citation CJ2, Cessna Citation CJ3, Cessna Citation CJ4, Cessna Citation Encore, Cessna Citation II, Cessna Citation Ultra, Cessna Citation V, Dassault Falcon 10, Hawker 400XP, Learjet 31, Learjet 35, Learjet 40, Learjet 70 and Premier I.

When a Light Jet Fits a Baltimore Trip

Light jets are a common choice for trips from Baltimore to Florida, the Southeast and the Midwest, with six to eight seats in most layouts and a lavatory on many types. From Baltimore, most of the types we arrange reach Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Atlanta and Chicago, Nassau and Turks and Caicos, and as far as Dallas, Houston and Cancun. For Denver, your advisor will compare a midsize jet.

Cabin size, baggage space and range vary across these 16 types, so send us the details and we will narrow the list down for you.

The runway a particular aircraft needs is calculated by the operator for that day’s conditions, and your advisor confirms it with the operator before anything is booked.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Baltimore-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

BWI Marshall is about nine miles south of downtown Baltimore, owned by the State of Maryland and operated by the Maryland Aviation Administration, and Martin State Airport in Middle River, about ten miles east of downtown, suits Towson and Hunt Valley. There is no jet airport in Annapolis, so jet trips for Annapolis and the Naval Academy usually use BWI, about 17 miles away. Easton Airport serves St. Michaels and Oxford while Salisbury serves Ocean City. Baltimore winters can bring snow and the occasional nor’easter, summer brings afternoon thunderstorms, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th. Late May, with the Preakness and the Naval Academy’s Commissioning Week, the holidays and summer weekends on the Eastern Shore book up first, so tell us your dates early.
