Baltimore Jet Charter arranges group flights out of Baltimore for bachelor and bachelorette weekends, and the destinations tend to repeat: Las Vegas, Nashville, Florida, the Bahamas and, in summer, Ocean City, Maryland.
One aircraft for the whole group
When a dozen friends each book their own airline seats, they land at a dozen different times. On a charter, the group leaves Baltimore together and lands together, so the weekend starts for everyone at once.
Nashville is about 510 nautical miles from BWI, Palm Beach about 770 and Las Vegas about 1,825. Your advisor will match the aircraft to both the distance and the size of the group. A small group heading to Florida may fit a light jet, while Las Vegas calls for a super midsize jet or larger. Nassau is about 850 nautical miles away, and a trip over water like that one goes on a jet. On an international trip, your advisor and the operator plan where the aircraft clears customs.
Give us the real headcount
These groups tend to grow between the first call and the booking. Give us the realistic number, because a party of eight that turns into twelve may no longer fit the aircraft we quoted. Luggage counts as well. Golf bags and a weekend’s worth of outfits add up quickly, and the bags alone can rule out an aircraft, even if it has enough seats.
Payment, catering and the ground
Please note that we only contract with one person and can only accept payment in full from the main contact on the contract. If the group is sharing the cost, the organizer settles that with everyone else.
We arrange specialty in-flight catering as an add-on at an additional fee. Selections are tailored to client preferences and confirmed before departure. We can also help you arrange ground transportation through a third-party provider when you land. To compare cabin sizes before you call, browse our passenger charter aircraft.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Baltimore-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
BWI Marshall is about nine miles south of downtown Baltimore, owned by the State of Maryland and operated by the Maryland Aviation Administration, and Martin State Airport in Middle River, about ten miles east of downtown, suits Towson and Hunt Valley. There is no jet airport in Annapolis, so jet trips for Annapolis and the Naval Academy usually use BWI, about 17 miles away. Easton Airport serves St. Michaels and Oxford while Salisbury serves Ocean City. Baltimore winters can bring snow and the occasional nor’easter, summer brings afternoon thunderstorms, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th. Late May, with the Preakness and the Naval Academy’s Commissioning Week, the holidays and summer weekends on the Eastern Shore book up first, so tell us your dates early.
