Baltimore Sweet 16, Quinceañera & Bar/Bat Mitzvah Private Jet Charter

Baltimore Jet Charter arranges flights for Sweet 16 parties, Quinceañeras, and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, whether the family is celebrating in Baltimore or flying from Maryland to a party somewhere else.

Bringing relatives to Baltimore

Family often comes in from several cities for these celebrations. We can arrange one aircraft that stops to collect relatives along the way, or separate flights that arrive close together. If the party is in Annapolis, on the Eastern Shore or in the northern suburbs, give us the venue’s town, and we will find the airport nearest to it. From there, we can help you arrange ground transportation through a third-party provider.

A destination celebration

Some families take the party away. From BWI, a light jet covers Florida and the Bahamas. Turks and Caicos, about 1,070 nautical miles away, and the rest of the Caribbean suit a midsize jet or larger. Landing permits and authorizations are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule. On an international trip, your advisor and the operator plan where the aircraft clears customs.

Large guest lists

Most private jets fly under FAR Part 135, the FAA’s set of rules for on-demand, for-hire charter. When your total passenger count outgrows a heavy jet and the group consists of more than nineteen passengers, the aircraft required would fall into regional airliner, or airliner-size. These trips would no longer fall under the FAR Part 135 standards but possibly operate under FAR Part 121 or foreign equivalent standards. Part 121 and equivalent generally carry stricter crew and operating requirements than FAR Part 91 and FAR Part 135. If the guests are flying together, give us a realistic headcount, children included, at the start.

Catering and older relatives

We arrange specialty in-flight catering as an add-on at an additional fee. Selections are tailored to client preferences and confirmed before departure. If you need kosher meals or a cake on board, mention it when you first call. If a grandparent uses a wheelchair or a walker, tell us early, and we will confirm what the aircraft can accommodate. Our page on wheelchairs and private jets covers this in more detail.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Baltimore-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

BWI Marshall is about nine miles south of downtown Baltimore, owned by the State of Maryland and operated by the Maryland Aviation Administration, and Martin State Airport in Middle River, about ten miles east of downtown, suits Towson and Hunt Valley. There is no jet airport in Annapolis, so jet trips for Annapolis and the Naval Academy usually use BWI, about 17 miles away. Easton Airport serves St. Michaels and Oxford while Salisbury serves Ocean City. Baltimore winters can bring snow and the occasional nor’easter, summer brings afternoon thunderstorms, and the Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th. Late May, with the Preakness and the Naval Academy’s Commissioning Week, the holidays and summer weekends on the Eastern Shore book up first, so tell us your dates early.
